MLB 2011 ALDS and NLDS Series Prices and Projections

Baseball playoffs start today, and as of this writing the series odds are as follows:

Tampa Bay Rays  +150
Texas Rangers   -170

Detroit Tigers   +130
New York Yankees  -150

Arizona Diamondbacks  +150
Milwaukee Brewers   -170

St Louis Cardinals   +240
Philadelphia Phillies  -300

We have run the data for the full  ALDS and NLDS series,  but want to caution you that for games in which a starting pitcher is “to be determined”, that we used our best guess as to a probable starter.

Our projections show that in all four series, the chalk is the play.

We kind of hate to say that, since typically a dark-horse makes a run in the MLB post-season, but the data is telling us to expect the Favorites.

You can find the individual game breakdowns here – MLB Post-Season Games.

We are guilty of not highlighting the baseball side of our site nearly enough.

There is some great information available to MLB handicappers.

One of the areas that is especially tailored for baseball is the Head to Head tab, found in the detail section for all current games.

The example shown in the picture below is taken from the current display of the Tigers and Yankees game.  Once you click on the image, a new window will open from which you will be able to zoom in on the picture.

The data can be displayed in four time frames: All History, Current Season, Previous Season, and Current 30 Days.

The outcomes are broken down by Dog and  Favorite for Money Line and Run Line, and by Over and Under for the Totals.
